Starlite Chairman Mr. Lam Kwong Yu, as the President of the sponsoring group, organized a dance performance show in cooperation with the Hong Kong Dance Company to help fund raise for the victims from the Sichuan earthquake disaster. The Charity Performance for Sichuan Earthquake Victim Relief show was held on June 25, 2008 in the Grand Theatre of Hong Kong Cultural Centre. This effective interaction between Hong Kong Society Group and local outstanding Literary and Art Organizations facilitated the unity of the two groups along with promoting the Beijing Olympic spirit and helping to rebuild the homes of the Sichuan earthquake victims. This event has also encouraged the cultural exchange between Hong Kong and China and demonstrated the love and passion that The Hakkas have for their country, life and fine tradition of the Chinese culture!

The event was held at the Hong Kong Cultural Center¡¯s Grand Theatre. The audiences¡¯ response was immense and the theatre was nearly full!

Special dance titled ¡°The Capital of Stallion Fortune¡± was the opening ceremony for the celebration of Hong Kong Dance Company¡¯s participation in the Beijing Olympics. It gave the audience a sneak preview before the ceremony began.
