The Choice of Spectrophotometer

There are three basic geometry namely 0 ̊/45 ̊, sphere (d/8 ̊) and multi angles (not intended for printing industry).

0°/45° instrument has an advantage in measuring regular, non-textured paper on a flat surface. It is commonly used in printing industry.

sphere (d/8 ̊) instrument provide both specular included and excluded readings. It is very beneficial if we want to be able to look at both color and appearance of foil paper and metallic colours.
