Basic Occupational First Aid and CPR Training Course is customized to train the average workers or layperson to become a qualified First Aider. The participants will be taught on basic life support skill such as CPR & Choking and other first aid related topics such as bleeding & wounds, burn & scald, fracture & spinal injuries.
The program consists of theory presentation, practical session and life-like simulation (casualty make-up) to equip the participants not only knowledge, but also the skill to handle various emergencies. Become a qualified First Aider & comply with legal provision: Occupational Safety & Health Act 1994.
COURSE OBJECTIVES:
Recognize first aid injuries at workplace.
Render first aid and CPR efficiently to victims of workplace accidents.
Manage the victim to time of handover to a medical professional.
COURSE OUTLINE/CONTENT:
CPR and Emergency Management.
Cardio- Pulmonary Resuscitation or CPR (skills).
Soft tissue injuries, joint injuries and bone fractures (theory and practical).
Spinal injury.
Patient transport (skills).
Wounds, bleeding, shock, bandaging, dressing (theory and practical).
Burns & Scalds.
Poisoning.
Drowning, Cardiac Arrest, Electric Shock.
Simulation Drill- fracture, injuries, electrocution.
Patient Assessment (skills).
Theory Assessment / Skills Assessed
