Luxe Pack Monaco and Cosmoprof Asia 2013

This year, Starlite has exhibited in both Luxe Pack Monaco and Cosmoprof Asia. We met some old faces and also made some new friends. We are really looking forward to the upcoming projects!

A leap to future

It’s always exciting to welcome a new machine. Our first 3D printer – ProJet 3500 HDMax is a giant leap forward for Starlite. With the resolution up to 750x750x1600dpi and thickness of each printed layer down to 0.016mm, the new 3D printer redefines modeling and provides the most precise prototype ever. The multi-jet modeling technology further speeds up the process which greatly shortens the time for product development stage. We can now quickly check the design and improve without spending so much time waiting. We are ready to show you the capability of the new machine.

Do You Know?

NASA provided a grant of US$125,000 earlier this year for a company to create a prototype of a 3D food printer in order to bring revolution for astronauts’ life supporting system when they are on mission planets away. The engineers replaced usual materials with nutrient powders such as carbohydrate and protein. The ingredients are “printed” on a heated plate and here comes a hot pizza! By programming the recipe food prepared will be nutrient-balanced with allergies and taste preferences taken care of.
Meanwhile we still have to order our pizza from local restaurants, but the development of 3D printing technology is truly worth expecting.
