Starlite Far East (10/22)

Oct 22, 2019

The term gotong royong comes from the Javanese language. Gotong means pikul or lift, while royong means together. So if taken literally, gotong royong means lifting together or doing something together. Gotong royong can be understood also as a form of active participation of each individual to get involved in giving a positive value of every object, problem, or the needs of the people around him.

Culture gotong royong is a national identity. Therefore, culture gotong royong should continue to be maintained in order to be kept in daily life especially in Starlite Printers (M) Sdn Bhd. Last Saturday, on 12th October 2019, we held gotong royong at our plant. All of our foreign workers joined the activity.

The objective of this activities is to avoid any illness especially dengue fever and etc. Although dengue is still the number one public health threat, it is heartening to note that dengue fatality rate is declining overall the country.

With the change in Malaysia’s weather which is favoring the dengue virus vector we should continue to be vigilant. We should also be on the alert as this virus has the potential to mutate under “stress”.

Destroying breeding sites of dengue mosquitoes has proven to be the most effective and excellent way to control the spread of this deadly virus.

We should focus our priority on destroying aedes breeding sites at all times.
